I have always been drawn to fabric — color, patterns, and texture. Early memories are playing with my Grandma’s fabric scraps. She kept a big box — or so it seemed to a 2 or 3 year old — in a bathroom closet. She would dump the box into the bathtub and I would dive in. Next was sewing or rather threading buttons onto a thread. By age 12, I was designing and sewing my own clothes. Over the years I continued to sew for myself and then three daughters. These days I spend my time quilting, hand-stitching, beading, and embellishing fabric wall hangings.
